<p>A healthy body is home to powerful thoughts. The energy runs seamlessly through it. It attracts more than an average mind. A healthy and prosperous body has several other benefits to it. It has higher immunity level to cancel out any minor problems and treat those in the process once perfect diet program is taken every day of the week. The age factor or the concept of looking beautiful has become quite popular in the recent past. It also supports the fact that beauty grows from within only to make its presence felt on the outer level afterwards.</p>

We are passing through one of the most challenging periods as global environment is posing serious threat over the very existence of human society. We are supposed to take care of every bite taken and calories consumed in a day. The health standards are in a bad worrying state as more and more people are falling sick to diseases at an early age. Medical fraternity has its own reasons to be concerned about the whole approach as heart-diseases and other serious health issues are increasing at an alarming rate.</p>
<p>Medical reports suggest that medications have achieved tremendous success rate however still people cannot get over the daily stress level and other common health diseases. It would not be incorrect to put forth that lifestyle standards are largely responsible for causing the trouble over here. The kinds of food items and products available in the market have made it further difficult to stabilize the growth process. These cholesterol and fat based food items have not helped the cause by any means. On the other hand, it attracts number of harmful elements towards it.</p>
<p>People must stay dedicatedly focused in order to stay healthier and live longer. The problem might not look serious or life-threatening from outside but one should not take any chances against it. There is every possibility that it may cause us more damage than what was thought of earlier. Our primary line of action is to have proper health living standards available all the time.</p>

It is a huge responsibility for everyone associated with the project. In an easy to understand definition, it can save many from unnecessary troubles and pain in the long run. It is a moral responsibility to raise our voice if there is lack of support available for the patients. There is no justification for it as we are discussing here about the prospect of saving human lives. It goes without saying that every type of health problem, be it minor or major, must be treated immediately without delaying the procedure. It raises a big concern over the efficiency level of future health policies if present trend is not encouraging, to say the least. This is one aspect that no government can afford to compromise on.</p>
<p>Several health programs and initiatives have been taken by international health agencies to achieve uniformity level. It is a deep sorrowing state that much still needs to be done given the kind of present world health standards we have. There are thousands of cases where young kids are severely being hit due to lack of proper nutritional diet. Health problems like these can be easily won over if we all can start working on it collectively. The world society should come forward and distribute the work within itself to kill the diseases that are very much under our control. It is not always about providing monetary assistance. It is a successful combination of many other things which would help us to see through this painful-looking stage where people are being penalized for being poor and born in a poverty-stricken country than anything else. We need to stand as one nation now.</p>

Hence, it is not as if technology cannot be used to keep the body functioning for a long time.</p>
<p>However, sleep performs a very important function &#8211; that of repairs and maintenance. Just as factories make use of shift breaks to carry maintenance activities, the body makes use of the time spent sleeping for repairing wear and tear to various parts and organs of the body.</p>
<p>The skin that is exposed to sunlight and wear and tear will repair itself at night. The mind that is stressed throughout the day will relax and delve into your subconscious when you are asleep. Your muscles and ligaments will revert back to normal functioning when they are in an inert state. Avoid all this and you may end up in a scenario where the overworked body simply breaks down.</p>
<p>The human body is not designed to function at optimum levels without sleep for at least six to eight hours. Do not pay too much attention to the actual number of hours. This depends on your individual physiological setup. If you remain fresh and healthy with just four hours of sleep, there is absolutely nothing wrong in sleeping for such a short period. However, do not use this as an excuse to sleep very little or sleep a lot. Sleep is essential for good health. However, oversleeping or under-sleeping is always going to have a negative impact on your body.</p>

Diagnosis of ailments was not done properly due to lack of technology and knowledge. However, has all of our progress and medical research only helped us diagnose ailments better?</p>
<p>Are we not in a position to avoid serious ailments as we grow older? Theoretically speaking, a person who lives the same lifestyle that was followed two or three centuries ago should be a lot healthier in old age. However, people breathed clean air and did a lot of physical activity as a part of their daily lives in the past. Those who were rich or comfortably well off had access to numerous foodstuffs that was healthy and nutritious.</p>
<p>The concept of junk or processed food had not become prevalent then. Today, we have gained in knowledge and technology but have lost in lifestyle. As we grow older, our bones weaken faster. This is because pesticides and artificial substances have contaminated everything in the food cycle. We rely so much on processed and nutrients that our body simply refuses to digest natural nutrients any more.</p>
<p>While we know more about medical ailments, we know less about the right way to avoid such complications. From Parkinson&#8217;s to Alzheimer – we do not know how badly our unhealthy lifestyle hurts us in the long run.</p>
<p>The best way to avoid the problems is to revert back to a natural and healthy lifestyle as early as possible. You may not think twice before gulping down a greasy and cholesterol filled lunch when late for a meeting. However, you should make time to cook and eat healthy meals so that you do not suffer when you become old.</p>

Things will become even more difficult as the child grows older. Normally, you would expect your grown up child to be careful about health and hygiene.</p>
<p>Teenagers feel that their problems are beyond the understanding of their parents. While you may not bother about the permanently victimized look on your teenager&#8217;s face, you certainly will be bothered to find he or she has hidden health problems from you.</p>
<p>After spending years teaching your child about hygiene and health, you may feel it superfluous to teach the child to be frank and forthcoming about health. You may feel that this is a rather obvious corollary of all your teachings. However, a teenager undergoing physical and emotional changes due to release of hormones may not be comfortable talking about certain things to you.</p>
<p>There are some problems faced by young girls which their mothers can quickly solve. It is not just a question of health alone. It also question of fear of the unknown. Sadly, teens never understand this. As your child grows, you must become a friend. You must accommodate your child&#8217;s ego and self esteem. Would you be crude when talking about a private problem of your friend? Obviously not.</p>
<p>You will respect the fact that your friend has emotions of his or her own. You will have to adopt the same approach with your children as well. You must respect your child&#8217;s sensitivities. You must also avoid compromises on health related matters. As a parent of a teenager, you will have to strike the right balance as early as possible.</p>
<p>The last thing you want is for your child to face health problems in private when a quick visit to a doctor would have made a huge difference. Rather than berating your teenage child for being stupid later, you would do well to anticipate these problems and plan your efforts accordingly.</p>

Going on diets every three months and joining the gym every six months is not the right way to stay healthy. You may, barely, stay slim but you certainly will not be healthy.</p>
<p>A few centuries ago, people never had any problems walking a dozen miles every single day of their life. We do not need to do so today. It is also true that we will certainly not be in a position to do so if the situation requires. Why? We have converted health into something that can be purchased off the shelf. Health drinks, medications, energy pills, energy drinks -we believe that this is sufficient to keep us healthy. We should focus on the following characteristics instead.</p>
<p><strong>Discipline</strong></p>
<p>How many times have you developed the habit of waking up early in the morning in spring only to skip the habit when winter comes? We find it easier to wake up early when the sun rises early. If you are not disciplined enough to wake up at a single point of time every single day, how can you even think of being healthy?</p>
<p><strong>Holistic</strong></p>
<p>Good health is not something you should aim for simply because it helps you get a lot of work done. If you want to live life to the fullest, you will have to be healthy throughout the year. Today, we look at a person who does not fall ill even once a year with awe. Rather, this should be the minimum we should aim for</p>

<p>Anybody can go to the gym when he or she is feeling great. However, to exercise even when you are not in the top of your health requires commitment. A five mile run is not a big thing when feeling off key. We care too much about physical comfort and ignore that punishing the body is the only way to keep ourselves healthy. Control over food, drinks, and diet is very essential to stay healthy.</p>

<p>If you are overweight, you really cannot complain that your teenager does not bother about fitness. You may be mature enough to ignore snide remarks about your weight but your teenager may take such comments very seriously.</p>
<p>Try to retain control over certain aspects and activities of your teenager&#8217;s life. Of course, this is easier said than done but you should still give it a try. You can insist that your teenager should play a sport and that it is not acceptable to while away time in front of the television.</p>
<p>Attracting members of the other sex is a big deal for teenagers. While you need not be blatant about it, you can easily drop hints that playing a sport or being good on the field helped you get good dates. You can talk about how you were jealous of others who used to play sports and enjoyed priority during dating season.</p>
<p>Have an annual checkup for each and every member of your family. Make sure you consult your doctor and point out to the importance of finding sexually transmitted diseases and other such complications as early as possible. Your child may be very comfortable discussing symptoms with a complete stranger than to own father or mother. Rather than feeling guilty about it, you should try to take advantage of this tendency to make sure your child is healthy.</p>

<p>Each and every parent has an important responsibility to ensure their children are always protected from diseases. Disease prevention is not all about to spending money on technology that provides safe food, water and air to your kids. Protecting your children from harm from elements around them is just one aspect of preventing diseases.</p>
<p>You will also have to inculcate various lessons that will help your child learn importance of hygiene and cleanliness. Let us face it &#8211; you can never keep your house completely free of germs. A walk in your garden will bring back germs and harmful microbes into your house. You cannot keep scrubbing your floor throughout the day just to keep it clean, can you? In such a scenario, teaching your child not to eat food that has fallen on the floor will help prevent diseases.</p>
<p>Many parents underestimate the importance of such lessons. Remember, children come with absolutely no knowledge of germs, health, hygiene and cleanliness. Kids will be more interested in enjoying the taste of the pastry and will completely ignore the fact that it has fallen on a dirty carpet which bears footsteps of all the members of the house.</p>
<p>You will have to use the right mix of discipline and punishment as necessary to teach importance of following hygiene rules to your kids. You will also have to inculcate many rules into your own lifestyle.</p>
<p>Some things that you had taken for granted in the past will now have to be performed in an elaborate manner. You may wash your hands every time you visit the bathroom. However, you will have to make such a fuss about it that your kids will automatically realize that you follow such rules of hygiene throughout the day. You will have to do this day in and day out until you are satisfied that your kids have learned their lesson.</p>

<p>Taking steps to ensure that you have strong bones will help you stay active and healthy throughout your life. Fortunately, there are several things you can do that don&#8217;t require a lot of extra effort but are very effective.</p>
<p>Try to make a habit of including milk in your daily diet. Milk contains vitamins and minerals such as calcium and Vitamin D that play an important role in the health and strength of your bones. When you are cooking, examine the recipes that you use to see if any instructions relating to adding water could be switched so that you&#8217;ll be adding milk instead.  If you choose not to drink milk, search for milk substitutes that are fortified as necessary. The foods you eat contribute to bone strength, too. Eat fresh fruits and vegetables whenever possible, as this will benefit your overall health, and help you to consume other vitamins that help your bones stay strong.</p>
<p>Emphasize low impact, weight bearing activities, ideally for at least 30 minutes per day. If you have trouble finding ways to fit this time into a busy schedule, consider making small changes to things that you already do, such as walking or biking to work instead of driving, or getting up a bit earlier so that you can exercise before work.</p>
<p>Finally, be aware of your caffeine consumption. Too much caffeine can cause your body to lose calcium. If you&#8217;ve determined that you do ingest a lot of caffeine each day, do your best to cut back a bit, or increase the amount of calcium rich foods in order to compensate.</p>

<p>An easy, yet important way to prevent the spread of sickness is to wash your hands throughout the day. Although soap and water are the best option, keep a small container of alcohol-based hand sanitizer nearby, in case other choices aren&#8217;t available. You can also help to stop the spread of germs by sneezing into a tissue or your elbow, instead of covering your mouth with your hand.</p>
<p>Help your immune system stay strong by ensuring that you get adequate rest, fluids and healthy foods. It might also be a good idea to take a daily dose of Vitamin C, either on its own, or as part of a multi-vitamin supplement. There are several Vitamin C mixtures that come in a powder form and can be blended with water. They make it easy to boost your Vitamin C intake, but always be sure to read the label and follow the directions that are printed there.</p>
<p>If you do feel like you are getting sick, do your best to stay home and not interact with the public. Even though it might seem nearly impossible to stay away from the office, particularly if you are working on very important tasks, see if there is any possiblity of working from home, at least until you are no longer contagious.</p>
